There’s less than 10miles from the field to bottle, with the grain and gluten-free vodka (made with Yorkshire spring water) distilled 30 times over copper plates before being filtere d through charcoal for a balanced, smooth and creamy finish. Its name is inspired by the tines on a traditional potato fork – a tool with specially rounded ends, used to lift the vegetables gently from the ground without damage. Despite being a new launch, Nine Tines is already winning awards, having recently scooped two Golds and a Silver medal in the Global Vodka Masters 2023. Co-founder of Collaboration Spirits, Richard Smith, says, “We have purposely gone ‘agains t the grain’ in creating Nine Tines Vodka by crafting a potato-based vodka which uses the best Yorkshire ingredients. We have chosen a deliberately slow distilling process, which gives the vodka an unmistakable purity.” ninetines.co.uk The Coconut Collab wants to ‘set the benchmark’ for dairy-free milk The creators of so-called ‘unsplittable’ and surprisingly ‘uncoconutty’ new product, M!lk, hope it will be a gamechanger in the plant-based ‘dairy’ industry. M!lk, made in the UK by The Coconut Collab, is a barista-style product that’s said to look, taste and behave just like its dairy counterparts. Its gentle flavour profile makes it an ideal addition to tea, cereals and smoothies. Founder, James Averdieck, says, “Taste has always been at the heart of The Coconut Collab’s proposition, and our latest launch, M!lk, is no exception to this. We know that one in three Brits are drinking plant-based milk, however we also know that almost every variant currently available on supermarket shelves influences the taste profile of the end product – whether this is a cup of tea or a bowl of cereal. “That is until now, with M!lk offering our customers an unrivalled and uncompromising plant-based milk alternative that we can’t wait for them to try.” All products from The Coconut Collab are made with ethically farmed coconuts, which are used 100% in the supply change to ensure low to zero wastage. coconutco.co.uk New soft drink taps into ACV trend Apple cider vinegar has become an ‘IT’ ingredient in the soft drinks market, thanks to health claims from various scientists and nutrition experts, which report it could be a good way to stabilise blood glucose, aid digestion, and help improve gut health . New on-the-go, vegan, sugar-free seltzer, Jitterbug, is seeking to position itself as the premium option in this growing sector, offering all the benefits of apple cider vinegar, without the sour notes some expect. The 250ml, sustainably-produced can format (only 39 calories per serving) is available in three flavours – Lemonade Swing, Orange Jive, and Berry Hop – all handcrafted in Devon with British botanicals and fruit. jitterbug.life
