Speciality-Food-June-2025

14 @specialityfood T he British food scene is a proudmelting pot of traditions and cultures, with a backbone of truly great produce. Up and down the nation, small-scale food producers are creatingmasterpieces that not only taste incredible but support their local food ecosystem, offer locals and visitors alike a true flavour of the area, and ultimately work to offer people a taste of better. Regional Stars 2025 is our celebration of just that. This project, organised by Speciality Food Magazine and Speciality & Fine Food Fair, is our way of shining the spotlight on the businesses using traditional techniques, local ingredients and foodie heritage to wow consumers with the very best their region has to offer. The process began inMay with a call out to the industry and the shoppers they serve, requesting nominations of businesses whose stories inspire all with their tradition, taste and quality. From the sizeable list we received, the Speciality Food Magazine and Speciality & Fine Food Fair teams worked together to whittle down the list to just 25 producers – and we couldn’t be prouder to highlight those brands within the following pages. As well as getting their place in the spotlight within these pages, the businesses will be celebrated at Speciality & Fine Food Fair, taking place 9th-10th September at Olympia. “Businesses like the ones featured in the following pages are the beating heart of Britain’s food and drink scene, and are examples of what UK producers do best: create delicious products which combine traditional knowledge and regional flair to the delight of modern day consumers,” says Holly Shackleton, editor of Speciality FoodMagazine . “As a nation, we have a proud heritage of excellent produce and Speciality Food and Speciality & Fine Food Fair have scoured the length and breadth of the UK to discover the small businesses offering an authentic taste of their region it’s exciting to see how these 25 businesses have worked tirelessly with a pure focus on quality to ensure that what they create is a celebration of the land under their feet. “I’mproud to profile the following businesses in the pages of Speciality FoodMagazine , and look forward to celebrating them in person at Speciality & Fine Food Fair in September.” Nicola Woods, event manager of Speciality & Fine Food Fair, said, “At Speciality & Fine Food Fair, we’re constantly inspired by the dedication, creativity and resilience of regional producers across the UK.
