Celebrating Welsh food and drink

This is Food and Drink. This is Wales. This is how we’re supporting our businesses to grow sustainably. The Welsh Government has a vision to create one of the most sustainable food and drink supply chains in the world. A Carbon Reduction Pilot initiative was launched last year and successfully worked with 60 businesses to help them baseline their carbon footprint through developing carbon reduction plans. Food and drink businesses based in Wales are able to register for phase 2 of the scheme, where we aim to support up to 80 businesses. In addition to carbon reduction, we’re proud to offer a comprehensive FREE package of support to help businesses navigate climate related impacts. Support includes a Climate Adaptation Readiness Self-Assessment to highlight strengths and uncover opportunities for growth. This is backed by engaging training modules and dedicated guidance to help businesses thrive sustainably, including support on their journey to becoming certified B Corp.
